Chapter 100
The late Dr Odagiri's Mansion, Tokyo.
Shou arrives back much to the relief of his friends, however as soon as he removes the Guyver armour he collapses with exhaustion into Tetsuro's arms with Mizuki and the others looking on in concern.
Tokyo – Chiyoda
The photographers from the last volume are talking to their asshole of a boss/client. They have submitted lots of photo's of the carnage and human tragedy that occurred but none of the actual Zoalord/Guyver fight. Their boss isn't impressed one bit and is chewing them out. He pries to see if they could be hiding anything, but the senior photographer double bluffs him and he buys it and lets them go.
On the rooftop of a nearby building the junior photographer questions his Sempai's motives for not revealing what they had seen and recorded. He explains that what they know is dangerous and that the Council of 12 is not as it appears to be, the information and evidence they have of a Zoalord killing another Zoalord should be revealed but this is neither the time nor the place for it.
Washington DC
Dr Balcus is surveying the wreckage from the damaged Pillars of Heaven building when he receives a call from his fellow Zoalord Shin in Tokyo. Both Shin and Balcus are suspicious as to the nature of Pulukshertl's death and the Guyver's exact involvement. Shin asks how the situation in Washington is and Balcus explains that the portion of the tower that Agito/Gigantic Dark caused a shockwave that flattened everything with in a 2km diameter, the devastation that it caused was truly terrible.
Shin can't understand why the resistance would do such a terrible thing and asks Balcus about that man Agito Makishima and why he would take such actions. Balcus replies that ultimately it was a show of power, just as Cronos a year ago were able to take over the world with a terrifying show of their power, Agito too is showing Cronos and the world his own power and his determination that he will rule the world not Cronos.
Cloud Gate – Tokyo (Cronos Japan HQ)
Shin and Balcus continue their conversation, Balcus revealing the nature of the attack in Washington and to Shin's increasing horror the existence of the Hyperzoanoid like “Libertus” and Zoalord “Griselda”, he also reveals his suspicion that Dr Heckering is behind this and Shin thinks to himself that since Heckering was Balcus' apprentice this could be very bad news.
Dr Balcus mentions that he understands that 3 of their Zoalord colleagues are in Japan and Shin reveals how he found them at the site of Pulukshertls battle. Balcus is shocked and filled with suspicion with this revelation but doesn't let anything on.
Elsewhere in the tower it is revealed that our three renegade Zoalords are eavesdropping on Shin and Balcus' conversation. They are happy that although they have drawn suspicion on themselves their true intentions have not been revealed and that they can move to the next step of their plan of capturing Guyver I, Aptom is revealed as under their “care” his now stone torso held in place by restraining wires/probes.
Chapter 101
High above the Earth the Council of 12's Zoanoid Battleship quietly traverses its orbit. A small streak of light approaching from the sky below intercepts it and seems to enter through the hanger bay.
Cronos Arizona research base.
A Cronos foot soldier monitoring the Battleship notices that the craft is altering its orbit. He quickly calls a superior who wonders if this is mearly an anomaly or if it is of importance to his Zoalord masters. Before he can make a further decision the monitoring soldier warns him that there is a massive energy spike building up within an array that has emerged from the ship. As the superior scrambles to identify the target for the energy burst we cut to the ship and below it Alcanfels island………
The strange and mythical creatures that inhabit the island look skywards in awe of the approaching energy burst. The energy burst strikes the temple on the island causing the “Pod” in which Masaki Murakami/Zoalord Imakarum Mirabilis to glow, bubble and finally fracture. As we see Masakis Zoacrystal resonate with the energy he opens his eyes and the pod explodes outwards.
Chapter 102
Alcanfels Island
Within the temple we are now shown Masakis Zoalord battleform released from the pod, all signs of damage have disappeared. Masaki slowly regains conciousness wondering where he is and how he ended up there his memories of his battle with the Gigantic Dark and the damage he sustained return. Suddenly he looks upwards as he thinks of the originator of his new power and his healer. Above the Earth the Zoalord battle ship returns to its original state and orbit, going silent once again.
Washington
Dr Balcus is furious at not having been informed of the Battleships actions any earlier. He postulates that Imakarum has been awoken from his slumber by Alcanfel and that Alcanfel may be about to enter his dormant resting state again, Balcus orders that these events be withheld from the other Zoalords knowledge as he contemplates the unfolding events.
Imakarum/Masaki streaks skywards entering the Zoanoid battleship and rides a hoverpad further into its depths - past the city structures, and parks enclosed within. Masaki finally reaches the Bridge where he finds Alcanfels silent form slumped in the commander's chair .
Chapter 103
Masaki gently wakes Alcanfel who seems happy to see him, Masaki is concerned that Alcanfel took control of the Battleship himself in his current condition (as I guess that it requires one or more Zoalord's will to move it.) Alcanfel thanks him for his concern but that he will be alright after he has “rested” on his island and asks Masaki/Imakarum to take him there. As Masaki carries him in his arms and flies back down to the surface of the Earth, he thinks that the ship represents Alcanfels dreams realised, Alcanfel can now travel into space just as the creators wished and fulfil what must have been a desire programmed within him by them.
On his way back to the surface he considers what he “saw” when he was regenerating in one of Alcanfels “Vital Pods”. The creators project on Earth, the Galactic war they were hoping to create a weapon for to fight for them, the creation of humans, Zoanoids and finally Alcanfel himself, a Zoalord to rule all the others. He also considers how the Creators “betrayed” Alcanfel after finding out how strong and uncontrollable a Human/Bio booster Armour combination was and the damage Alcanfel took in saving the Earth from being destroyed by a giant asteroid. How he must now rest in a vital pod to regain his strength from time to time, how alone Alcanfel must have felt after those events and how Alcanfel has now placed his trust in Masaki. As Imakarum places Alcanfel in the temples resting area and the doors slam shut after him he thinks “However I, Alcanfel……..” as he removes the sunglasses that cover his changed eyes.
Chapter 104
Tokyo, Odagiri's Mansion.
A worried Mizuki is checking up on Shou's condition, he still remains in a deep sleep, all his energy having been expended in his battle with Pulukshertl. Mizukireturns to the lounge where she, Natsuki, Hayami and Tetsurou discuss the events that have occurred both in Tokyo and Washington. As each person shares what they have gathered from the news reports Tetsurou suddenly realises that the moment that the Gigantic Dark appeared in Washington was at the exact time that Shou must have been facing the 4 Zoalords! Tetsurou who had always suspected Agito's motives, is sure that Agito now has his own agenda and that the sparks of ruthlessness that were apparent in the adopted son of the former head of Cronos Japan have blazed anew. The others sensing his discomfort with the realisation push him into revealing his thoughts to them, they are shocked and upset but realise what he says could be true the damage and death that Zeus's Thunderbolt army caused in Washington alone bear the mark of someone who will do anything to advance his cause……..
Chapter 105
America, Colorado State, Zeus' Thunderbolt HQ.
Agito enquires as to the Libertus Unit's condition, Dr Heckering showing them all in processing tanks explains that in order for them to out perform Hyper Zoanoids they require vast amounts of Cellular energy and as such they must be “charged” after having undertaken any lengthy encounters. As they both descend to another level Dr Heckering explains that of course there is a trade off to creating such powerful troops and that they will not live for more than 2 years. As we see Griselda in a lone processing tank he continues of course this goes for her too…..
As Heckering see's the charging process has completed he turns it off Griselda transforming back from her battle mode to that of Shizu. He queries Agito, of course the Libertus units might not concern him but what about Shizu, what of her fate?
Agito replies that it was with her consent, and Dr Heckering replies that he wonders what motivated such bravery.
As both warily eye each other Agito thinks that whilst Dr Heckering mourns the loss of his beloved daughter he is useful but that ultimately he cannot be trusted in the long run. There are two kinds of people in the world Agito thinks, Winners and Losers, whilst his step-father may have been a loser he is not, unlike Shou who he considers one of the “losers” he will go to any lengths to ensure he is a “Winner”.
Tokyo Cloud Gate
The 3 rebel Zoalords discuss their preparations with a Zoanoid, he assures them not to be concerned, the time to put the next stage of their plan into action has come…….
In another part of Tokyo the younger Tokyo is trying to wake his Sempai, there is something important being announced on Television……
Televison screens across Japan, including in the Odagiri mansion show the captured form of one of the recent “terrorists” its Aptom! Shou awakens to Tetsurou's exclamations of disbelief……
Chapter 106
As the a TV presenter explains that the captured terrorist is due for elimination the others work out that Aptom must have been helping Shou when he lost the Gigantic armour only to be captured.
Cloudgate
Zoalord Shin demands an explanation from the three rebel Zoalords, why have they broadcast the fact that they are going to destroy Aptom? They risk bring the guyvers to Cloudgate and what happens if the Gigantic shows up? The others clearly having planned this exact course of action barely try to conceal the fact that this is their wish. There are 4 Zoalords present, and don't you want to avenge Pulukshertls murder they enquire? Shin desperately tries to figure out their game plan…….
Shou having overheard the other earlier conversations about how he would be unable to stand up to Cronos again feels obliged to try to rescue Aptom. Mizuki going to check up on him finds his bed empty and a doorway to a secret exitway open, she rushes out just in time to interrupt Shou calling his armour. She asks him why he wasn't going to tell her he was going, he didn't want her to worry and that he promises he will come back. She is still worried that he cant use the Gigantic armour but he reassures her that he is going just to save Aptom, as Aptom earlier saved him….
Hayami suddenly appears and tell her not to worry as Shou wont be going alone, before he was at Relics point he used to be at Cloud gate and know their security system! As they both transform Shou urges Aptom to hold on, He will definitely rescue him…..
