Narisawa

From GuyverWiki

The Mount Narisawa-area is where the defective Zoanoid Melmot fled to meet with his mysterious employer. He was however intercepted and lost his precious cargo of three Unit-G´s - which led to the creation of Guyvers One and Three.

Two months later, almost the very same spot near a small lake where Sho Fukamachi merged with the Unit-G was also where he faced Enzyme One.

And again, months after that, during the Mount Minakami disaster, Guyver One´s unconscious mind instructed the Relic´s control sphere to teleport Mizuki and Tetsuro Segawa and his other friends to Mount Narisawa.

The Island Silha

Thousands of years ago, the Creators abandoned the Earth; they even sent a giant asteroid to shatter the planet. Archanfel , the first Zoalord, managed to destroy the moon-sized asteroid, but what chunks of it did reach the Earth crashed through the atmosphere and unbalanced the global climate enough to begin a new Ice Age.

Archanfel decided he would hibernate until circumstances permitted his return; he adapted a damaged Creator ship that had been left behind to sustain several amniotic hibernation tanks, and, probably from all over the world, gathered left-over experimental creatures. Why he did this is not known; perhaps it was a gesture of his, to want to save the misfits of the Creators, as he himself had now become. Or perhaps he just felt alone, which was quite understandable under the circumstances.

For thousands of years, the strange menagerie and its manager slept, inside an ancient, barely-alive alien organism, encased in a temple Archanfel had had built by his Zoanoid servants. He did not take any of them with him; perhaps he reasoned humans and Zoanoids were already sufficiently equipped to survive the hard times that would come. And, of course, he was right.

The island Silha lay undisturbed as mankind lived through the Ice Age, and the one hundred centuries after it, during which mankind slowly built grand civilizations and waged wars to destroy those civilizations. No humans would disturb the inhabitants of the island; it had been carefully chosen for its location and possibly adapted by Archanfel to make it even more isolated. Silha is even now surrounded by ten enormous vortexes that make it impossible for any ship to come near it, and powerful electromagnetic fields that preclude approach through the sky.

Sometime after the Ice Age, Archanfel must have awoken. After assessing the state of the world, he must have decided to return to hibernation to preserve and regenerate his immense, but waning powers until humanity had reached sufficient numbers to form a mighty army. We know he must have awoken, because although he remained asleep in his amniotic tank, the creatures that had accompanied him had been released, living fairly harmoniously on the island when the first visitor finally arrived.

This happened thousands of years after the end of the Ice Age, near the end of the sixteenth century. A lone survivor of a ship that had been sunk by the vortexes that surround Silha washed up on the beach. The man, after recovering somewhat, started to explore the island, eventually reaching the temple... and awakening its inhabitant.

Although Archanfel had awoken, he regularly returned to the island for prolonged periods of rest. He would not now sleep inside the amniotic tanks (although their regenerative properties remained intact), but instead on a stone slab. Otherwise, the island remained as it had been for a hundred centuries - a strangely peaceful island, both metaphorical and literal, in an increasingly violent world.

Silha is located somewhere in the Atlantic ocean, presumably not too far from the equator. It is more or less crescent-shaped, with a large bay on its south end; its circumference is almost 800 miles. ( Caveat: although the data file gives a number of 800 miles, the image of Silha shows an island that cannot possibly be this large; in fact, it looks closer to 8 miles ) Archanfel´s sanctum must be fairly close to the coast, certainly no more than a few miles. The island appears to be volcanic, although its volcanoes are dormant now. Most of the island is covered in lush tropical forest, very warm and humid. It appears to be mostly inhabited by beings that live nowhere else in the world. Some of its inhabitants:

The main inhabitant of the island is of course Archanfel. Although some of the more intelligent inhabitants, perticularly Pan and Fairy, are aware of him, it doesn´t seem like they actually communicate or interact with him.

All in all, Archanfel´s personal getaway is a place of savage, unspoilt beauty, where the worldly affairs of Chronos and the Guyvers seem a distant dream. For its inhabitant´s sakes, we may hope it stays that way.

Cloud Gate

From GuyverWiki

Constructed after the destruction of both "Max Farmaceuticals" and Relic´s Point, this base sort of serves as a replacement for both. Construction started almost immediately after X-day as a public declaration of Chronos´ superiority. The building dominates the Tonyo skyline.

The building consists of two identical, linked skyscrapers, 400 metres high. In cross-section, the buildings are hexagonal, with three sides about half as long as the other three. The towers face each other with their long sides. Bridges connect them about every 75 metres; halfway up, the two towers are fully joined together by a five-stories-high, diamond-shaped helicopter deck.

Below the ground floor, subterranean levels extend more than 200 meters down. Here is where the secret scientific development laboratories are located.

Rising above the tops of the towers, perched precariously between them, is the dome-shaped control center; it is usually inhabited by Prukshutal, the Zoalord who reigns over East Asia. The towers house the administration and bureaucracy that Chronos installed instead of the existing systems after they took over the world. Also in the towers is the public processing plant, where volunteers are turned into Zoanoids.

The entire building is self-sustaining as regards water and energy. In the event of an attack, it is manned by, among the normal Zoanoid operatives, dozens of Vamore troops who can man gunner ports in the side of the building, as well as dozens of airbound troopers.

Arizona

From GuyverWiki

The original Chronos headquarters and the home of dr.Hamilcar Barkas. Shortly after he had entered the service of Archanfel, he was entrusted with the care for a great treasure: a Creator-ship, hidden deep under a mesa in the desert. His dream to travel to the New World was thus realized in a most unexpected and glorious way. Over the centuries, the most important Chronos base of all was built on top of the derelict ship.

The Chronos-base under this mesa is possibly the largest and most elaborate of its kind. Over a mile deep, it contains vast laboratory complexes, communication facilities and personnel habitation areas. The base is mainly formed like an enormous shaft, similar to Relic´s Point, but inside it stand three titanic pillars which each house research facilities, elevators etc. . Each level can be closed off hermetically from the others by immense sliding panels which lock into place around the pillars. At the base´s very deepest pit lies one of two known remaining Creator Ships in the world, and the only one whose insides might be preserved. Also at this level lies the Celestial Hall, where the Zoalords convene.

Some levels above sits the Psychic Wave Warp Generator, which enhances the psionic range of a Zoalord´s control enormously - dr.Barkas, who normally can control all Zoanoids in a ten kilometre radius, can reach Zoanoids as far away as Washington D.C. with its power.

Arizona Base was once attacked by the Gigantic Dark, who practically wrecked it; it took weeks to take care of the worst damage. A later attack destroyed the Psychic Wave Warp Generator.

Of course, the main purpose of the base remains to ensure the safety of the Creator-ship underneath it - which, although it appears to be dead, may still hold untold secrets within.

Pillars

From GuyverWiki

"Pillars of Heaven"... The official Chronos headquarters in the former United States. Constructed after "Cloud-gate", presumably using knowledge gained from its construction.

Although architecture and construction are completely different from biotechnology, Chronos maintains its pattern of bigger-is-better in its choice of buildings. "Pillars of Heaven" is 1072 meters high, more than two thirds of a mile, and it completely dominates Washington D.C.

The building consists of a round, tapering base, almost like the foot of a chess piece, which in itself is more than two hundred metres high, and three slender towers which rise from it, set in a triangle, rectangular in cross-section, with the short sides facing in (and out). The three towers are connected to each other by bridges at intervals of about 200 metres. Halfway up, the three towers are joined together by an almost spherical dome, suspended in their middle; ringing it are the main landing pads for helicopters. Finally, at the very summit, above even the tops of the towers, is the control center, the headquarters of the Zoalord controlling the area (Usually, this is Shin).

The building was constructed on the National Mall, in the place where the Washington Monument used to be, surrounded by buildings and monuments that were effectively left to yesterday by the rise of Chronos.

Recently, the building was partly destroyed by the Gigantic Dark; a gravity pulse smashed through the westernmost tower at about two thirds of its height, causing its top to break off and smash to the ground, 600 meters below. The shockwaves not only destroyed buildings for miles around (including the abandoned White House) but also structurally weakened "Pillars of Heaven" itself.

USA third operation plant

From GuyverWiki

True to its name, this is the third most important Chronos base in the former United States. It is located in Washington D.C, across the river from the "Pillars of Heaven" building; it has replaced the Pentagon.

The base, which is devoted to research and development, has retained the general outline of the Pentagon; however, the pentagon is now crowned by an enormous dome. In truth, the dome is merely the tip of the iceberg; most of USA-3 consists of an enormous, 250-metre sphere, mostly underground. A pentagonal shaft runs from the open top of the structure to an inverted dome, which is at the very bottom of the building. At the very centre of the thing lies a much smaller sphere. Five one-hundred-metre tall towers, like minarets, stand at the points of the pentagon; these connect to the lower levels, possibly providing both fresh air and emergency escape routes.

USA-3 was completely devoted to the processing of Zoanoids in large numbers; as such, it provided an ideal target for Zeus´ Thunderbolt´s Libertus, which attacked and pretty much destroyed the base, leaving it a burnt-out husk.

Hakobune Space Ark

From GuyverWiki

The "Hakobune" ("Transport carrier") is the gigantic space vessel created by Chronos. Grown in the Dead Sea, from a relatively small chunk of tissue of the Minakami Relic, under the guidance of Dr. Barcas.

Once it was full-grown, the Twelve Zoalords convened in the Chronos dead sea plant and raised the immense vessel, interfacing their Zoa-crystal with power stations in the ship itself. Slowly it rose from the water, hovering momentarily before it calmly flew up into a low orbit around Earth.

There, in orbit, it remains, as yet empty of inhabitants, waiting patiently to be filled and, undoubtedly, to fly to the stars.

The "Hakobune", usually referred to as the Ark, is 51 kilometres (almost 32 miles) long, has a greatest width - at her main propulsion wings - of about 16 kilometres (10 miles) and is almost ten kilometres high from the lowest point on her hull to the top of her conning tower. Shaped like a cross between a shark and a horseshoe crab, she apparently contains a complete eco-system, including forests and cities. She is clearly meant to carry a LOT of people (or rather, Zoanoids).

She possesses twelve massive energy stations positioned at strategic places on her hull, specifically designed to interface with Zoalords. However, she does not need their continuous presence to function; she can draw energy from the sun through a couple of solar panels the size of Manhattan, and can apparently maintain an orbit on her own.

She can expell large amounts of radiant energy through two massive (maybe 5 miles long), retractable prongs on her underside; they were used once to recharge an injured Zoalord, but may very well be a weapons system.

Imakarum Mirabilis saw many ships like the Ark in a vision in Archanfel´s memories; it seems the Creators intended to ship their Zoanoid armies in a fleet of them. Dr.Barcas being able to grow one from a small fragment from one of the normal Creator ships suggests that all such ships were actually the "seeds" of the much bigger Arks.

The Ark seems to be a colony- or generation-ship; it is not known whether she can travel faster than light through warpgates, like the ships of the Creators did.
