The Libertus are rebel zoanoids, or rather, they are members of the 'Zeus Thunderbolt' resistance group that have been genetically processed as a zoaform to fight the domination of Chronos. Although Agito Makishima leads the Zeus Thunderbolt, Shizu Onuma acts as a zoalord to command the Libertus. With Shizu's zoalord form of 'Griselda' in place, the Libertus are free too ignore all Chronos Zoalord telepathy.
Strength of the Libertus has been pushed to an extreme by increasing metabolic energy consumption. The energy channeled into strength can provide results even at the onset of formshift from human form. There are however two limitations. After physical combat, a Libertus subject must return to a processing tube to be re-infused with energy. A subject that has been processed into a Libertus also has a limited life span of 2-3 years.
Even at the onset of zoanoid form, the Libertus has demonstrated superior strength. Although precise measurments are unavailable, it should be noted that this model is capable of physically challenging up to one hundred hyperzoanoid soldiers in hand to hand combat. A testiment to the Libertus stamina in strength power levels.
The Mode B Libertus is a BioBlaster type combatant. It's hex-lens shoulderpods appear to emit a mazor type microwave radiation beam. The intensity of the beam itself allows for virtually instantanious destruction, and beam visibility. The Mode B Libertus is a revolution in zoanoid design. Although Chronos has previously experimented in secondary formshifts, many experiments have resulted in lost numbers. Strength and agility are limited in this form though, and so for purposes of offensive and defensive ability, usage of bioblast mode is limited.
